Nicole’s childhood was unimaginable. She was left unattended for days, went through vivid experiences and was eventually put into foster care. She was adopted into a new family who helped create a new life for her – a life that included the Boys & Girls Club. The Club was a safe place for Nicole, where she began to blossom through the Club’s education program, PowerHour.
The Club nurtured Nicole’s passions for music and education, and she developed a strong ambition to enter the medical field. She was accepted into Drake University’s Pharmaceutical and Health Science program, majoring in pre-nursing. However, midway through her freshman year, driven by a new sense of purpose, Nicole made a significant change, and enlisted in the United States Army.
Nicole has dedicated herself to service in the military and, after four years of hard work and commitment, she earned the rank of Sergeant.
Thank you for sharing your success story with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Corridor!
