Elementary school was a challenge for Ryan, who was often teased and called names for being short and sensitive. Club programs like Passport to Manhood and Triple Play, encouraged his self-confidence, making him feel as though he was the tallest person in the world. He grew from a Club member to a leader, joining the Club's Junior Staff and leading Triple Play and Game Room activities.
Ryan is currently working towards a degree in Physical Education and Health at Hibbing Community College in Minnesota.
