Workforce Readiness Program

Our Workforce Readiness program prepares Club members with essential skills and resources for success beyond high school, supported by local foundations and businesses that provide tours and job insights.

Essential Skills for the Workplace

Our Workforce Readiness program equips middle and high school Club members with the skills and resources they need to thrive beyond high school. By focusing on essential workplace skills and guiding students on a path of self-discovery and success, we are investing in the future leaders of our community. This initiative is crucial in developing confident, prepared teens ready to make a significant impact in both the workforce and the community.

In addition, various companies in the Cedar Rapids area have welcomed our Club kids to their places of business for tours and an explanation of jobs available and the education level needed to obtain each level of job. At the end of the tour, they explain that the most important thing they can do right now is to graduate from high school to give them hope and opportunity for a successful future. Some of our previous tours have included Van Meter, Nelson Electric (office & job site), New Leader Manufacturing, UScellular & Panda Express. If you company is interested in hosting our Club teens for a tour of your business, contact John Tursi at jtursi@inmyclub.org.
