Meet Tiesha

Tiesha came to the Boys & Girls Clubs with a dream to achieve the unimaginable by discovering new talents and skills and creating lifelong mentorships.


The Club's Character & Leadership programs directly impacted her life, providing first-hand experience in philanthropy. She traveled the world leading youth and service initiatives with the knowledge gained as Assistant Director at the Club. She went on to mentor Club youth during and after college; receiving the Lux Service Award from the University of Northern Iowa, the highest undergraduate honor awarded at commencement.


Tiesha has spent the past 10 years in leadership positions in higher education to make a difference in the lives of college students across the Midwest. She is now married, raising two children and teaching at Des Moines Area Community College.
